Summer interns may be aligned to teams focused on:
Automating business workflows and processes (aka Citizen Developer)
Integrating process excellence into end to-end process design/redesign
Solutions design and deployment-related to provider and member experience
Deploying change management mindsets, skills, tools, and processes throughout the enterprise
Supporting the creation of multimedia solutions designed to upskill associates
Developing business unit strategy that aligns to corporate strategic pillars
Examples of past intern projects include:
Development of Tableau-based project metrics dashboard
Creation of a change management playbook and resource library
Automation of workflow processes for Anthem Automation University
Design pilot for ID card address management system
Successful intern candidates are:
Pursuing a BA/BS at an accredited college or university in one of the following fields: Business Administration, Business Management, Service Operations Management, Organizational Change Management, Healthcare Management, Healthcare Administration, Data/Business Analytics or a related major
Achieving a 3.5 GPA
Available June 6th – August 12th
A rising Senior (preferred)
Intellectually curious self-starters with the ability to work in a fast-paced, flexible team environment
Active in case study competitions or consulting clubs
Experienced leaders in student or volunteer organizations
Desired Skills and knowledge include:
Data analysis and data visualization
Superb problem-solving skills using logic and data
Critical thinking and analytical skills
Process excellence/improvement, including current state analysis and future state design
Project management, including project plan development, milestone tracking, risk management reporting, and template development
Change management, including an understanding of change management principles
Excellent verbal and written communication
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint required; experience with Tableau and Visio preferred
Multi-media skills (video and audio editing, graphic design for web and digital print) preferred for some projects
Six Sigma Certification (white or yellow belt) preferred
