The University Recruiter is responsible for managing the end-to-end hiring process for internships and early careerists while ensuring superior candidate experience.
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
Advising and consulting the business on the right fit, oversees the sourcing, screening, and interview processes to acquire the best talent to meet business needs.
Function as the campus champion that can energetically promote the Anthem brand on target campuses
Manage the end-to-end talent acquisition process ensuring superior candidate experience; shepherd candidates and business representatives through the process.
Partner with human resource business partners and talent acquisition program managers.
Serve as a single point of contact for candidates and hiring managers throughout the recruiting process.
Consult hiring managers on talent needs and recommend candidate slate.
Execute recruitment strategies to reach high volume campus hiring goals
Conduct phone screens for candidates.
Coordinate and attend college recruiting events (as needed) including, career fairs, interviews, and other on-campus recruitment events.
Aggregate evaluation feedback for the final hiring decision.
Negotiate and close offers and communicate decisions to candidates.
Effectively utilize available technologies to maximize efficiency, quality, and productivity.
Some travel may be required – up to 25% during the recruitment season.
Requires a BA degree in HR related field and/or marketing or communications field; 3 plus years of talent acquisition experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
Experience in sourcing, screening, and interviewing candidates required.
Experience utilizing current talent acquisition digital technologies required.
Ability to interface with candidates in an engaging and persuasive manner required.
Ability to partner with, advise, and influence hiring managers in a consultative manner; to foster long-term relationships required.
Previous experience with university recruiting is preferred
Ability to interface with university representatives and support relationship building is preferred
In-depth knowledge of the TA landscape in the health insurance industry is preferred.
Professional HR / TA Certification(s) preferred.
